What is Microneedling?

For many different reasons, individuals think they are lacking the appearance they desire. However, with our Miami Microneedling treatment, this can change, and with a minimally invasive procedure, individuals can get a smoother and youthful-looking appearance.

In this process, tiny needles penetrate the outer layers of the skin and introduce micro-injuries. This then stimulates the skin to produce collagen and elastin. This is what leads to skin being more flexible and having more strength.

Microneedling Procedure

During

Once you begin the Microneedling Miami patients will feel like fine sandpaper is rubbing over the skin. The entire process aside from the numbing can take up to forty-five minutes depending on the extent of treatment. Once the treatment is finished, the areas treated will be red like you are sunburned. Healing time will depend on the number of passes and how deep the needles went into the skin.

After

For most patients, it takes around 24-hours for the redness to subside, and Dr. Zuriarrain will advise taking another day of rest. A skincare product may be supplied to aid the healing process. Once the swelling subsides, Miami Microneedling patients notice or feel there is a difference in their appearance. Several treatments may be recommended for optimal results as long as there is sufficient rest in between.

What is Microneedling with PRP?

The PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) comes from your own blood. This is then used in conjunction with the Microneedling on the parts of the body you seek attention. This process can be used on the face, neck, arms, abdomen, hands, back, and legs. At the start of microneedling with prp Miami plastic surgeon, Dr. Zuriarrain draws a small amount of blood. This is then separated by the use of a centrifuge. Within the test tube will be the red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma that is a light yellowish color. This portion is used in the procedure.

Once the procedure begins, the face is numbed with a topical anesthetic around an hour before treatment. With the microneedling pen, the doctor will run over the surface and place drops of the growth factor rich plasma onto the skin's surface. Like ink on a tattoo, this is pulled into the layers of the skin where it will bathe the cells and enhance the natural healing process of the micro-injuries.

Is Microneedling right for me?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment and requires no downtime. It’s considered safe for those in good health. Microneedling is not recommended for those who use certain acne medications, such as Accutane, or for women who are pregnant. During your consultation ensure to inform your doctor if you may be pregnant, have a skin condition such as psoriasis or eczema, have any lacerations or abrasions in the treatment area, have been treated with radiation therapy, or have a history of skin scars. You can expect to experience minor redness and irritation for a few days after the procedure.

Microneedling Consultation

All treatments begin with an initial consultation to check patients past medical history. Aside from this, Miami Microneedling patients will be examined to make sure there is nothing such as eczema, psoriasis, and skin infections, or medications used in the areas to be treated.

One thing, which will require discussion, is the extent of work because there are different depths the microneedles can go. For the majority of individuals, this is a suitable treatment to regain a youthful looking appearance.
